I live in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. We have been having this problem for over a month now. I continually look on the website for outages in our area but there are never any listed. Every time I call Comcast I get a different story. First it was that there was a problem in the Utah market that their technicians were working on it. She offered to credit my account and said to keep track of the shows we could not watch because of this problem. After two more calls like this the problem had still not been resolved. Then I called and talked to someone who said she was a senior tech and assured me the problem had been fixed. She reset the box, had me unplug it and wait for the guide to repopulate. If problems persisted she said to stop the VOD show, then delete it from the saved programs. That was two weeks ago and still it is not fixed and deleting the shows does not work. I called again last night and was told that there were known problems in the Salt Lake area and their senior techs were working on the problem. This time when I asked about credit he told me that Comcast does not offer credits for VOD shows that are from free channels. I have looked at my bill and there are a full page of credits. Comcast customer service is like shifting sand dunes in the desert. I do tape shows that I don't want to miss but the DVR provided us has woefully inadequate storage capacity. I am tired of this merry-go-round. I want off but there are no other options in this area. Why can't you just work on the problem, get it fixed and have customer service just give me a straight forward answer about what is going on.

The Comcast Cares Team has been notified of your signal issues which are usually very close to your house and not neighbhood or city wide, that's why it doesn't show up as a outage.
Watch this post and your email for updates from the team during the business week.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I have escalated your issue and someone from your local region will be contacting you to discuss this matter.

We have been having exactly the same problem in the Pembroke Pines/Hollywood area in Florida over the past month. They've been out here 4 times and are coming back out tomorrow. It is very annoying. We cannot enjoy our service in our Family Room downstairs.
We have also been told that there is no service interruption in the area, but this is the first I've heard that it has something to do with the connection to the house.

I gave up on complaining here in Virginia...... I am painfully waiting for Virizon FIOS to get installed and then I will be jumping ship for this. It is not worth the money and with no compitition they know how to song and dance you to death.
The day is coming when Comcast is not the only provider and then they will feel the pain of less customers and maybe then they will get it fixed.
But I will be with Fios and not be jumping back to what could of been service.
I give comcast credit for trying a little. but with so many agrivated customers? I don't see comcast around in 10 years.... I see them as BlockBuster is now

Well we recently recieved the notification that FIOS is coming and they will be running the lines in the right of way soon.
Jump for joy, happy dance..... The time has come soon that I can get a better picture, less issues a regular bill that stays the same month to month.
Anyone notice that the monthly bill goes up about 30-50 cents, it is not much but my bill has gone up $8.00 a month in the past year. It's not like I use more each month like water or gas etc.
I see it as a sneaky way to make more money, and now they want you to pay for support on their faulty internet or tv signal.... got to love it...
Come on FIOS.....
