The Comcast website claims their DVR can record more than 3 shows simultaneously. Heres the URL: »www.comcast.com/Corporate/Learn/···sed=true
Is this accurate? Anybody able to do this? If so how?

That has to be a typo. Only 2 shows of any type can be recorded at the same time on a single DVR.
Comcast employees must be authorized to post in the forum in an official capacity. Employees posting here have their names in red and are designated as employees. Names not in red are customers.
This is done to protect customers and for assurance that they are dealing with a Comcast employee.
Non-Authorized Employees are allowed to post but cannot state they are employees nor can they allude to being employees.

Again, it doesn't say specifically one DVR, where U-Verse is limited to 3 HD streams (depending on the speed of you circuit) due to the limited bandwidth of IPTV.
You can't get 4, 5, 6 or more HD streams or be able to record HD on U-Verse no matter what. Comcast is practically unlimited as you just keep adding DVR's.
