Secondary TV out

My main comcast cable box is in my living room I also have a small black box in my bedroom. I disconnected it to try to play a dvd and then hooked it up again.  Now I have no picture or sound. It is on channel 4 and all the cords are hooked up securely.

Re: Secondary TV out

I having the same problem as rsutcliff.  Main box in family room is working fine.  secondary box was reconnected and it did the search for a network thing.  Got the onscreen message "Your service has been temporarily disrupted.  It should be restored momentarily."  But it hasn't.  Little green light is blinking.  Any suggestions?

Re: Secondary TV out

The DTA box needs reauthorizing.  If you call the 1800comcast number, you might be able to do it on the voice menu on the phone tree.  Otherwise call into a human at Comcast and have them send the signal to the box.  You might want to try and get the serial number off the box to have it handy just in case, so you know what box needs the hit.

If reauthorizing the box continually fails, then you might have a signal issue the that TV outlet that would need troubleshooting by a tech visit to the home.
