The remote to my toshiba flat screen TV was working fine the other day. Power button worked, volume worked, etc.
I don't know if I pushed some buttons on the Comcast remote, but now the Toshiba won't even power on with the remote. I have to manually turn the TV on. I have replaced batteries and know that is not problem. Can something I pressed on the Comcast remote have affected the Toshiba remote?

The Comcast remote would not affect the Toshiba remote.
Post the model of the TV so we can look up a manual for it, and see if anything stands out on the Toshiba remote.

I guess next step is totally unplug the TV for a minute or two, and let it totally reset it'self.
This might keep me up all night thinking what's next...........

Here's a quote from the manual on remote issues
Remote control problems
Make sure the remote control is set to the correct devicemode ( page 21).
Remove all obstructions between the remote control and
The remote control batteries may be dead. Replace thebatteries ( page 20).
Your TV remote control may not operate certain features
on your external device. Refer to the owner’s manual
for your other device to determine its available features.
If your TV remote control does not operate a specific
feature on another device, use the remote control thatcame with the device ( pages 22–26).
If the TV still does not act as expected, use the Reset
Factory Defaults procedure ( page 33).
So I'd say to do the factory reset procedure next, hope you can access it from the front panel since the remote isn't working.

I cannot follow the steps last explained because the remote does not work. I can get to Factory defaults using the controls on the side of the TV but cannot go any further.
The TV is working great but just not allowing me to use the Toshiba or comcast remote.
