Per visio soundbar instructions, the red/while cables are used on the bar and the TV. It worked this way with charter-it does not work with comcast. Is there a different setup?

well how do you have this hooked up to your cable box, what box is it? you need to supply more info. you would need to put the cables from the audio out on the box to the audio in on the sound bar.

If the soundbar is connected to the TV, it has nothing to do with comcast. Are you getting sound to the TV from the cable box? Can you describe your set up a little better? What kind of box? What kind of TV? I know you have a Vizio soundbar.

I did not hook to comcast box-just tv and soundbar. I will try going from the box to the soundbar instead.
Thanks

I now have gone directly from the comcast box (Motorola DCX3200-M) to the soundbar in audio and still nothing (the TV is a samsung)

so the box has audio out on it, so you plugged the audio out from the box to the audio in on the sound bar and you get nothing? go to your cable box menu and to audio what do you have the audio settings set for there? Also to configure audio for the box, with the box off press menu, see what audio settings you have there
