There are some areas (closer to the inner ring suburbs) that seem to have gotten the upgrade to do the MyDVR stuff. Buthow about the rest of aMinneapolis, when will they be able to get this functionality ?
a more specific time period than ".. Next quarter" is appreciated.

I'm wondering when it will be available in Monmouth County, NJ. I absolutely cannot believe that we're paying the same as other Comcast markets and are still in the Dark Ages. We are a densely populated suburb of NYC and I'm stunned that we are unable to perform the same functions with our handheld devices as the rest of the country. What's taking Comcast so long?

This is primarily a customer-to-customer help forum. We live around the country and have no insight into Comcast's plans.
That particular question was posted in the Mobile App forum which also hid it from any Comcast employee that might have commented on myDVR functionality if they were looking at posts in the TV part of the forum.
I guess you have already contacted your local Comcast office. You might try asking Comcast corporate by using the #5 option at Customer Feedback:

its only available for motororla or pace markets. trust me your not missing much I have it and never use it. if you don't already have your programs set to record and you forget you can always watch them on demand. you might think its great and you want it but when you get it its not that great.

We in the Scientific Atlanta market aren't just missing the capability to set our DVRs from our laptops - we are also unable to PLAY BACK any shows on demand on our laptops, iPads, iPhones, etc. Yeah, we can watch them, play them back and set them to record, but on our primary TV set/DVR box only. Like I said, we're living in the Dark Ages compared to other Xfinity (and FiOS) customers. You may not use it but trust me, there are lots of us out there who want it, and will use it plenty when it's finally available. Come on Xfinity, get on the stick!

Comcast has launched improvements and enhancements to the XFINITY TV App which now includes the "Play Now" feature. This allows our customers to watch XFINITY On Demand content from select networks directly on their iPad.
The good news is that the new "Play Now" feature doesn’t require customers to have a compatible set top box. That means all iPad customers with the XFINITY TV App can access Play Now as well as search for their favorite shows in the TV listings with no restriction on the type of cable box that you may have. Yes, that's right. The Play Now feature works if you have a Scientiic Atlanta or Cisco branded cable box. More details at the link below from my colleague Matt Strauss:
The next guide release for our Cisco-Scientific Atlanta customers will include the myDVR capabilities, Caller ID to the TV and other features. This guide is targeted to start being widely available over the summer. The team is also working to deliver that product sooner.
Some of the features that are expected to be included in the summer release are listed below:
- myDVR Manager: From the internet and the Xfinity TV app, customers can: set recordings, view/modify scheduled recordings, view completed recordings, modify series priority lists, etc.
- Caller ID to the TV See who's calling, right from your TV and PC! Comcast Universal Caller ID takes the guesswork out of incoming calls. http://www.comcast.net/callerid
- HSN Shop-by-Remote: A convenient, new way to make HSN purchases simply by using your remote. http://www.comcast.net/newguide/iTV_Guide_Shop-By-
- Request for Info: Know more, save more! Introducing an easy way to request valuable coupons and info from advertisers simply by using your remote.
- Ready Remind and Ready Record: Now you can conveniently set program reminders or recordings directly from certain TV show and movie advertisements.
- Xfinity TV Application: The ability to use your iPad to change channels.

Live streaming to iPads is available only recently from Comcast to customers in Nashville and Denver currently. Additional markets and other tablets are scheduled soon.

When I find out more, I will be sure and post that information here. I was only trying to point out that AnyPlay is a brand new Comcast product available in only two markets right now.
The good news is that it is currently available at no additional charge for Triple Play customers in those areas.
