We just got comcast today. When I pressed the on demand button a screen came up that says xfinity On Demand. It has stayed like this for ten minutes, and i cannot change it, and the reciever will not turn off. Any way to get rid of this?

Rog, as usual is probably right, you will need a tech visit. But that in itself can be an ordeal. Check your connections, no unneeded splitters, clean and tight. If no go, then call for a tech, and wait.
