We just got comcast today. When I pressed the on demand button a screen came up that says xfinity On Demand. It has stayed like this for ten minutes, and i cannot change it, and the reciever will not turn off. Any way to get rid of this?

unplug the box and plug it back in.

We have done that, and it works for a little bit but then everything starts freezing up again.

sounds like your having a line or signal issue that will require a tech visit.

Rog, as usual is probably right, you will need a tech visit. But that in itself can be an ordeal. Check your connections, no unneeded splitters, clean and tight. If no go, then call for a tech, and wait.

Here it is months later from the original post, and I'm having the same problem. Anyone have a tech fix the problem?
