dvr slow response

My DCX3400 dvr is very slow to respond when I use my remote.  This started happening about 2 weeks ago.  For instance if I try to get to channel 13, I can push 1 but not 3 and the dvr goes to "1" on demand, or I'll hit 1 then 3 again and again and channel 133 pops up.  Or if I'm searching my recorded programs I have to hit the scroll button several times before the DVR moves down the list to the next program.  I got a new remote control from Xfinity but still have the same problem.

If you haven't power cycled the DVR, you should try that.  Unplug the AC power for two minutes, then power it up again, it takes care of slow response most of the time.

 

You will not lose your recordings, but the guide data can take 24+ hours to fully restore.
