Comcast says the Magnavox RGN200N will work with an external eSATA hard drive. The hard drive makers say to check w/the cable operator to see if the drive will work. Comcast says they don't support external hard drives. Since the junk Comcast says they support doesn't work well, I'm reluctant to spend $100 for an external drive. Anyone have any experience with them?
Curiouser and Curiouser! So the box I have w/an “M” and RNG200N logo does not exist? And the port that Comcast says does work, doesn’t work? One might think Comcast might have mentioned that when I asked rather than saying they don’t support external drives.
