XfinityTV and Equipment

I had to replace my hdtv box and have now hooked it up and the picture is fine, but no sound - from anywhere - remote, set, box, anywhere.  I can change channels with the remote, get the guide, etc but no volume control at all.  Ideas?  Thanks

Have you accidently clicked the lang or mute button on the remote if so click it again and see if that works.

there is no language button on an hd box.  go to your box menu and under sound look at how you have it set.

it's not hdmi - just component

went to the box menu - adjusted settings, audio setup, etc - still nothing.  The screen shows the volume indicator going up and down, but not a sound of any sort

Double check that the audio cables are correct (normally red and white).  Then take the box back for another new one..

Could be the box, my bet is plugged in wrong.
