program guide and on demand not responding

We recently rewired all the entertainment system and for three days everything was fine.  Now all the program guide says is to be announced for every channel and the on demand is getting an error code - problem in retrieving data.  Tried unplugging cable box, no change.  It has been this way for 4 days now.  I am guessing it has to be in the hook up and wiring but everything is the same as was before and I dont know where to start looking for the problem

Re: program guide and on demand not responding

It definitely sounds like a weak signal due to your wiring.  If you're getting no channels at all, you may need to check to see that the incoming cable was reconnected.  Check all the connections and check the signal strength.  SNR should be in the mid 30s.  Do you get any channels with no box connected?

Try removing any splitters.  If you have to use them make sure they're rated at least 1000 mhz.
