"In order to start cable service for this device, please contact your cable provider"

Just got a Motorola RNG200N box to relace my older motorola DVR. 

 

For the first day or so, I got the full grey screen with the message above while using the guide or the DVR.  Those seem to have gone away but the message persists when I try to play anything On Demand.  I have had the techs reset the box and waited the required time but I still get the error in On Demand.

3rd call to Comcast finally got it working.  Not sure why it took 3 calls and so many attempts to send the "right" signal to the box, but at least it's working now.
